This is a 1970s large ceramic Wedgwood calendar plate that is beautifully designed. This plate has the year 1977 in colourful typography with a themed illustration and the calendar for that year. Reverse makers marks: Tonatiuh of Etruria Made in England Calendar Plate Seventh Series. Tonatiuh, the Aztec Fifth Sun appears in the centre of this design which is based upon the Aztec Calendar or Sun Stone. This Sun Stone represents the history of the world according to Aztec cosmology.
