Charlie’s Angels Is Back

Elizabeth Banks' Charlie's Angels reboot is now happening and will star actress Kristen Stewart alongside Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska. It is set to be in cinemas in November 2019.

The original 1970s cast of the TV series starred Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith and were then followed up in the Noughties by Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu appearing in two films.

Director of the reboot is Elizabeth Banks who will also play Bosley, the charming and mysterious owner of the detective agency. Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou will play the other two Bosleys. Sam Claflin, Jonathan Tucker and Luis Gerardo Mendez are also on board for undisclosed roles.

The reboot Charlie's Angels story will take the detective agency idea of the original 1976-1981 TV series and Noughties films global, with the Townsend Agency now a security and intelligence service with teams around the world. The film will focus on one of those teams and the next generation of Angels.

Sony Pictures has unveiled the first promotional image for it on their Twitter page with the caption "One year until #CharliesAngels. 11.1.2019," the image shows a woman holding up two cards for the Townsend Agency: one with Charlie's number on it, and another with a list of locations that the agency operates from.

Filming started in September 2018. We can't wait! In the meantime we will practise having big hair and swishing it.

Love Lynnette x
