We love nothing more than trawling around antique and vintage shops but we especially enjoy a visit to a reclamation yard. This week we visited Robert Mills Ltd Architectural Antiques in Bristol (UK). We were not there to shop on this occasion but to do some research for a television show project we are working on!
Secret Dealers is a successful afternoon TV show for ITV, whereby antique dealers go into someone's home and they all fight it out to buy their antiques. The new series of the TV show is back in the autumn and we have been asked to style the opening credits of the new show.
Filming is taking place at Robert Mills Ltd next week so we were there this week to have a good look around and come up with some ideas. Here are some of the research pictures we took so you can have an idea of the amazing pieces that places like Robert Mills Ltd sell. There were stained glass windows from churches, vintage leather sofas, antique furniture, mannequins, brass lanterns, old school chairs and much, much more. We will do a separate blog about the filming of the TV show.
