New Tarantino film ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ features fab 1960 and 1970s fashion
Director Quentin Tarantino’s ninth feature film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood had its official teaser trailer released today.
Coming to cinemas in July, the new film, set in 1969, stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a faded Western film star and Brad Pitt as his longtime stunt double. They try to navigate a Hollywood industry that is getting tougher and changing before them.
Meanwhile, actor Margot Robbie plays Sharon Tate, the 1960s actress who was murdered by serial killer Charles Manson and whose storyline will show the last moments of Hollywood in the 1960s.
The retro costume design is down to the renowned Arianne Phillips, who has worked on films like Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals.
In the clips we see Leonardo DiCaprio wear a 1970s chocolate brown leather trench coat. Whilst Brad Pitt’s character is all about the double denim and Hawaiian shirts and retro t-shirts.
On Margot Robbie, a more 1960s Mod look happens. She wears black polo necks, white mini skirts and a keyhole-cutout dress, amongst other 1960s and 1970s staples.
